Payment methods available are credit card or personal check. If you wish to pay by credit card, please email Debbie Stevens for a payment link.  A $20 fee will be applied to the total price for payment by credit card.  Price includes instruction and access to two professional quilt instructors, door prizes, shopping discounts and many of your meals.  The hotel is located near many restaurants and shopping centers.

Hotel Accommodations

We will book your hotel rooms at the Marriott for retreat (Sept 28 - Oct 1st) from a block of rooms we have reserved at a negotiated discount price ($129/night) for retreat attendees.  Attendees are responsible for payment of their room.  Please indicate on the registration form your room preference and your roommate if you are sharing a room.  Room rates during retreat are $129 plus tax.
If you are attending Quilting in the Garden or the No Frills Early Start, you may need a room prior to retreat. Rooms are available at the Marriott or you may prefer to find a hotel of your preference and transfer to the Marriott for the retreat.  Marriott hotel rates are higher priced outside of the retreat days ($269+/night).  We found many local hotels, some in Livermore close to Quilting in the Garden, that are budget friendly.

No Frills Early Start

Joanna Figueroa

of Fig Tree Quilts!

Joanna Figueroa often says that she can’t remember a time when she wasn’t creating some kind of art or working with her hands.  It was a serendipitous occasion that found her working with textiles as a medium and she describes it as a “coming home” type of experience.

She has been a licensed designer for MODA fabrics for 15 years and is beloved for her numerous fabric collections in her signature Fresh Vintage™ style. Currently working on her 37th  fabric collection, her collections focus on quilting cottons but includes other substrates.

Joanna also co-owns and operates Fig Tree & Company along with her husband Eric, who is her right hand man in all of their business endeavors.  Fig Tree & Co. specializes in a fresh perspective on traditional quilting and sewing patterns, focusing on quilts, whimsical kid’s items, home furnishings as well as purses & personal accessories. Fig Tree currently offers more than 250 stand alone patterns and wholesales thousands of patterns to stores both nationally and internationally.

She has written several books with Leisure Arts, Martingale & Co. and Wiley & Sons. She is a regular contributor to both national and international publications such as American Patchwork & Quilting, Quilts & More, American Quilt Retailer and Quiltmania. Her work and studio have been featured in various venues including Quiltmania [French], The Quiltmakers [British], Les Edicion de Saxe [French], Australian Patchwork & Quilting, Where Women Create.
